Description	:	It was with the deepest regret that we heard of the death of Mrs. Charles Mills, at Chicago Wednesday, March 8th. Mr. & Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Marie Mills of Rucyard went to Chicago in November where Mr. Mills underwent an operation. Mrs. Mills had a rather severe case of flu but was recovering nicely being able to be around. Her death occured very suddently, caused by embolism. Mr. & Mrs. Mills and Mrs. Marie Mills of Rucyard went to Chicago in November where Mr. Mills underwent an operation. Mrs. Mills had a rather severe case of flu but was recovering nicely being able to be around. Her death occured very suddently, caused by embolism. Mrs. Jennie Mitchell Mills was born and reared in Nova Scotia. She came to Montana in 1912 and homesteaded south of Goldstone. For several lyears she taught the Oreana Pleasant Valley and Goldstone schools. She was varried to Charles Mills in 1916. She was a constant worker in the Grace church and Sunday school and also a helpful member of the womehn's club. We who knew her well, cherish many memories of her beautiful live and character. Funeral services for Mrs. Charles Mills, who passed away suddently in Chiago on March 8th were held in the Minneota Hall Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Wines of the Evangelical church at Rudyard officiated and was assisted by Rev. Henry A. Ritter who read the funeral text taken from St. Mark 14-8, and offered prayer. The pallbearers were: Al Suckow, E. B. Suckow, George Sherman, Jas. Vincent, Harvey Angus and Norman Kaercher, who carrried the mortal remains to its final resting place in Grace cemetery. Al Suckow, E. B. Suckow, and D. T. Swift, accompanied by Mrs. E. M. Packer at the piano, sand the selections for the services which were "On Sweetly Solemn Thot", "Abide With Me", and "Good Night and Good Morning". The high esteem held for the departed by her beloved community was exemplied by the many tributes extended by her saddened students, wh9om she had taught several lyears at the Oreana Valley and Goldstone schools; by the members of the Big Sage Women's club, the missionary society and the Evangelical church who will long cherish many pleasant memories of her active life and Christian character. She served many years as a stewart and Sunday School teacher in the church. She was trustworthy and always willing to carry on in God's work. As a tribute to the meory of a faithful and constant co-worker, the members of the Big Safe Women's Missionary Society have renamed their organizationto that of Jennie Mills Women's Missionary society. She has resigned her many obligations here to assume a well earned reward in the Great Beyond, leaving a vacancy that is a real challenge for someone to take her place. Jennie Marten Mills was born December 22, 1879 in Nova Scotia. Her maiden name was Mitchell and her mother's maiden name was Darrah. She came to Montana in the fall of 1912 and settled north of Rudyard. In 1913 she began teaching in the grade school north of Rudyard, also teaching music and teaching Sunday School. Mrs. Mills died March 8 in Chicago afater a brief illness in that city where she had accompanied her husband, who underwent surgical treatment. She died 11 hours after becoming ill, while her husband was in the hospital. She was maddied Jan 31, 1917 to Charles M. Mills, they having since made their home near Rudyard. She was a member of the Evangelical church, and the Big Sage Women's club and the Big Sage Missionary society. Surviving relatives include her husband of Rudyard, one sister, Raechel Mitchell and two brothers, Andrew and Stevely Mitchell, all in Nova Scotia.
