Description	:	Mrs. Martha Lawson Copeland, age 76, wife of Guy Copeland of 523 Toluca Street, Union SC, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Regional Hospice House. Mrs. Copeland was born in Union, SC November 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Roy T. Lawson, Sr. and Pearl Lawson Lawson. She was a graduate of Union High School; a former Textile worker and was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church. Mrs. Copeland was born in Union, SC November 22, 1933, a daughter of the late Roy T. Lawson, Sr. and Pearl Lawson Lawson. She was a graduate of Union High School; a former Textile worker and was a member of Mon Aetna Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters: Marlene Ethridge and friend "Egghead" Davis of Jonesville and Tammie Davis and friend Carroll Burgess of Union; two sons: Larry "Foot" Lawson and wife Patricia and Charles Allen all of Union; two sisters: Hazel Bobo and husband Sam and Carol Cookson and husband Bud; a brother, Harold Lawson and wife Bobbie Jean all of Union; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Copeland was predeceased by five sisters, two brothers and a grandson. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Union Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Benny Green. Visitation will be held immediately following the graveside service. Memorials may be made to Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 951, Union, SC 29379.The family is at the home, 523 Toluca St., Union.
