Martha was born on May 8, 1926 to Phillip and Lydia (Berreth) Badure on a farm near Isabel, South Dakota. She was the second oldest child born to this family that eventually totaled 14 children, which included one older half-brother. Read More	Martha Schreiber, 98, of Miles City passed away on March 16, 2020 at Friendship Villa, Miles City, Montana. Martha was born on May 8, 1926 to Phillip and Lydia (Berreth) Badure on a farm near Isabel, South Dakota. She was the second oldest child born to this family that eventually totaled 14 children, which included one older half-brother. Martha grew up in Isabel, SD and graduated from Isabel High School in 1939. She came to Miles City shortly after graduation and was employed in various capacities as a cook at a dairy farm, waitress, clerk at Shores Clothing Store, and positions at First National Bank, Stockman Bank and Miles City Credit Union. During WWII she served her country working at a defense plant in California where parts were made to be used in fighter airplanes. She met her husband, George, when she was a waitress at the Log Cabin Cafe in Miles City. When he returned from the service, they were married on May 12, 1946. They continued to live in Miles City and were blessed with one daughter, Phyllis Kailey. For many years Martha was a compassionate caregiver to her disabled husband. She was very talented and enjoyed her many hobbies: oil painting, traveling, dancing, cooking and entertaining. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Kailey, grandson, Guy (Kris) Kailey, granddaughter, Keshia Kailey, and two great grandchildren, Keven Kailey and Kendra Kailey. She is survived by her siblings: Vi Hagstrom, LaVon Adair, and Allen Badure. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her sisters: Hilda Patrick, Emma Hettich, Edna Ewalt, Thelma Wagener, Sally Thompson and Kay Gill; her brothers: Albert Badure, Rufus Badure, John Badure, and half-brother Edwin “Bill” Badure.
