Description	:	Martha was born 3 AUG 1835 the 6th child of 13 to Nathan Pierce Jr. (Son of Nathan Pierce, Sr. & Mary Rider (daughter of Samuel Rider & Mary Chapman)) & Betsey Blake (daughter of CAPT Ephraim Blake & Mary Coursen). She died 20 MAR 1855 due to complications with the birth of the couples 2nd child. Married; A.W. Stevens of Montville, ME (Son of ) b. 18 AUG 1827. They had 2 children, one of which died in infancy. A. W. Stevens took the living child and moved to NY and became a successful lawyer. Sister... George married Abbie Mayo of Milo, ME (sister of Hannah Brown Mayo, dau of Allen Mayo &Abigal Gould) and lived in Greenfeild, ME. He went off to Calif. in 1852 in search of gold and never returned. 4. William b. 28 APR 1823 d. 5 AUG 1898 M. Hannah Brown Mayo (dau of Allen Mayo & Abigal Gould). He was a farmer and a lumberman. 5. Augustus b. 5 SEP 1830 d. 5 JUN 1854. He is buried in Greenfield, ME and has a stone. Augustus died of comsuption. 6. Sarah m. William Annis a farmer and lumberman. They had 9 children of whom 3 died young. Lived in Greenfield, ME. 7.Lizzie (Betsey Ann) m. Calvin Johnston of Bangor, ME. They had 5 children 8. REV John M.
