Description	:	Martha Sherman, of Olathe, died peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2012, six months after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Born Martha Maize in St. Louis, Mo., on Sept. 22, 1923, to parents Ted Estelle and Bert Maize, she was a 1945 graduate of Washington University and a Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumna. She married Thomas E. Sherman in 1954, in San Francisco, Calif., and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Dean and Charles Bemis of Lenexa; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Edward Hirsch of California; nephew, Chuck Bemis and wife Cathy Wiley of California; and nephew, Dean Bemis and wife...
