Her early life was spent in the vicinity of Aurora and Giltner. She received her education in the rural school near her parents home and then attended the Giltner High School, where she graduated with the class of 1931. For 16 years she was employed as a Dental Technician and receptionist in the Dental Office of Dr. J.E. Shafer in Aurora. On May 7, 1962 she was united in marriage to Bernard Heseman at Hastings, Nebraska. They made their home in Orleans, Nebraska. Here she was employed by the Republican Valley Bank at Orleans and later as a bookkeeper for the Alma Block and Lumber Company. She was a member of the Dental Technicians Association, the Aurora Business and Professional Women and was active in community and church affairs in Orleans. Her parents, two brothers, William and Fred Mersch and one sister, Mrs. Anna Hosier had preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Bernard; one brother, George Mersch of Aurora; sister, Mrs. Laura Stiegemeier of Caldwell, Idaho; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many close friends who will cherish her memory.
