She was born in Gloucester and remained a lifetime Gloucester resident. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Gloucester, and of the Ladies Bible Class. She belonged to the Upper Gloucester Homemakers Club. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Melvin Rainier of Gloucester, and a daughter, Shirley Boyer of Shacklefords; sons and daughters-in-law, Herman and Jackie Sears of Gloucester, and Wilmer and Delma Sears of Urbanna, and a son, Floyd Sears of Biloxi, Miss.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Andrews Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Michael Adams, Ray Goude Sr. and Eugene Brewer. Burial in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad. Arrangements by Andrews Funeral Home.
