Her spirit remains with her family and friends, who take great comfort that she continues in God's care. Norma lived her life dedicated to family. She was born February 29, 1924, the middle child of fourteen siblings. She was proud to have been her mother's helper until she was orphaned at the age of 13. As mother, grandmother, and community member, Norma believed in teaching by the example of how she lived. She loved her faith and church. She believed in hard work, education and honest living. Norma greatly enjoyed reading. A note found in Norma's journal on books that she had read states "If we only had one prayer, it would be Thank You." Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor David Glesne officiating. Graveside Services will be held November 30, 2 PM at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Axtell, Nebraska, near where she was born.
