Description	:	Martha Pearl Smith MONTICELLO - Services for Martha Pearl Smith, 89, of Logansport, formerly of Idaville, will be held at 1030 a.m. Monday in First Church of God in Idaville. She died Friday, July 7, 2006, in Wood- Bridge Health Campus, Logansport Born May 10,1917, in White County, she was the daughter of John Clouse and Arma Caroline Antrim Weiand. On Sept 10,1939, in Monticello, she was married to Wiley Smith, who preceded in death Dec 3,1989. Mrs. Smith had lived in the Idaville community most of her life, moving there from the Yeoman area. On Sept 10,1939, in Monticello, she was married to Wiley Smith, who preceded in death Dec 3,1989. Mrs. Smith had lived in the Idaville community most of her life, moving there from the Yeoman area. A graduate of Royal Center High School, Royal Center, Martha worked as a switch board operator for the Yeoman and Buffalo telephone companies for several years. She also worked as the bookkeeper for the White County Farm Bureau Co-Op in Idaville and Monticello for 31 years, retiring in l987. She was a member of the Idaville First Church of God, where she was the organist and pianist for several years. Martha had served as president of the local WCSC for several years and was also a state spiritual life and stewardship chaji> person in Indiana WCSC. Surviving are two daughters and sons-inlaw, Marlene Kaye and Steve Moore, Logansport, and Linda Carol and Jeff Hanna, Monticello; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael L and Carolyn Smith, Logansport; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter preceded in death. The Rev. Keith Raderstorf and Rev. Al Rockey will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Idaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Miller-Roscka Funeral Home and one hour before the services Monday in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of God in Idaville.
