She was the daughter of the late Richard Overton and Minnie P. Robertson. Mr. & Mrs. Smith owned Cobham General Store and Mrs. Smith operated the store for 37 years. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Gobbie and husband, Eric Gobbie of Charlottesville; grandson, Michael Lester of Charlottesville; sister, Arleen Ray and husband, Ted; brother, Johnson Robertson and wife, Margie all of Louisa. Read More	Martha Robertson Smith 85, of Cobham died Monday, October 3, 2011 in Charlottesville. Mrs. Smith was born January 18, 1926 in Louisa. She was the daughter of the late Richard Overton and Minnie P. Robertson. Mr. & Mrs. Smith owned Cobham General Store and Mrs. Smith operated the store for 37 years. Survivors include her daughter, Dianne Gobbie and husband, Eric Gobbie of Charlottesville; grandson, Michael Lester of Charlottesville; sister, Arleen Ray and husband, Ted; brother, Johnson Robertson and wife, Margie all of Louisa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion L. Smith; three brothers, Richard Robertson and wife, Ruth; Willie Robertson and wife, Helen; Carl Robertson and wife, Irnell; and sister, Lula Richmond and her husband, Albert. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 7 at Woodward Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. A reception will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Louisa. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 6 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Piedmont 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway Suite 300 Charlottesville, VA 22911
