Description	:	Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Boebel lived in Peru, Ill., when Martha Susan was born. The family continued to live there until Martha was fifteen years of age, when they removed to Jansen, Nebraska. On Feb. 6, 1896, Miss Boebel was united in marriage to Ralph Butterbaugh of Fairbury, Neb. After their marriage they lived in Jansen for 17 years, then for two years at Fairbury. In 1915 they moved to Fairmont, where she lived until she slipped quietly and peacefully away to that dwelling place where physical pain and suffering are not known. Three children... Read More	Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Boebel lived in Peru, Ill., when Martha Susan was born. The family continued to live there until Martha was fifteen years of age, when they removed to Jansen, Nebraska. On Feb. 6, 1896, Miss Boebel was united in marriage to Ralph Butterbaugh of Fairbury, Neb. After their marriage they lived in Jansen for 17 years, then for two years at Fairbury. In 1915 they moved to Fairmont, where she lived until she slipped quietly and peacefully away to that dwelling place where physical pain and suffering are not known. Three children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Butterbaugh: Roy L. of Lincoln Sadie Evelyn Farrar of Barnston, Neb.; and Florence Rose Hungate of Wauneta, Nebr. There are four grandchildren: Joan and Ralph Farrar; Suzann Hungate; and Norma Jean Butterbaugh. Early in her young womanhood, Mrs. Butterbaugh united with the church. When they moved to Fairmont, she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church. She has been a most devoted member, serving her Lord and her church with gladness. In the Federated church she has been serving as one of the deaconesses for a goodly number of years. The church will greatly miss her loving and gracious presence and ministries. She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, the children and grandchildren listed above; a brother, Henry Boebel of Sacramento, Calif, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the Federated church on Tuesday afternoon, the services being conducted by the minister, Rev. Isaac Cassel. The music was furnished by a quartet: Mrs. Mamie Kemp, Mrs. A.A. Ashby, Wayne Malsbary, and W.E. Black. Mildred Starks was the organist. The pallbearers were M.M. Akin, George Porter, George White, William Boren, W.R. Dorrance and Francis Schepers. Interment was made in the Fairmont Cemetery.
