Mrs. Wentink was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late George W. Way Sr. and Mammie Griffith Way. She was retired from the Bath and Tennis County Club of Palm Beach, Fla., for many years and moved to Orangeburg in 1999. She was a member of St. George Baptist Church. She was the widow of Paul Wentink. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, George W. Way Jr. and Dot, of Newberry; two nieces, Mrs. Louis (Sylvia) Boone, Orangeburg, Mrs. Barbara Way, Palm Beach, Fla.; nephew, Rev. Thomas S. Summers Jr. and wife Ann, of Williston; a number of great-nieces and nephews; many relatives and friends in the area. Memorials may be made to St. George Baptist Church, 2590 Shillings Bridge Road, Orangeburg, or to St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1356 Amelia St., Orangeburg SC 29115.
