Willette "Suzy" was born July 25, 1919 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Clower and Mattie Wooten Harris. She lived in Gainesville since 1955, and was married to the late Hewlett S. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Gainesville Garden Club, the Gainesville Woman's Club, and she and Hewlett belonged to the Gainesville Golf and County Club and the Skippers Club. Willette "Suzy" was born July 25, 1919 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to the late Clower and Mattie Wooten Harris. She lived in Gainesville since 1955, and was married to the late Hewlett S. Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Gainesville Garden Club, the Gainesville Woman's Club, and she and Hewlett belonged to the Gainesville Golf and County Club and the Skippers Club. Suzy, as affectionately known by her friends, was very social, a great hostess, and loved to entertain by singing and playing piano. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her son, Joseph H. Anderson, and his fiancée Lisa Gagne, four Grandchildren, Joseph (Aleesa) Anderson and Erica Anderson, Dena Schindler, and James Anderson, and two Great grandchildren, Abigale Anderson and Gabriel Anderson. She is also survived by her friend and devoted caregiver Clara Reaves. Her first son, Jim Anderson, passed away in 1984. Funeral Services for Mrs. Anderson will be held on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 1:00 PM, at the First United Methodist Church, 419 N.E. 1st St., Gainesville. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local Alzheimer's Association or the First United Methodist Church.
