Description	:	Martha Winifred Love was born on November 29, 1922 in Grand Junction, Colorado to George W. Stell and Martha W. (Ames) Stell. She grew up in Denver, Pueblo, Grand Junction, Gateway and the Sinbad Valley with her two sisters, Mildred Hubbard and Dorothy Maccagnan and brother, Miles Devine. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1939 and Mesa College in 1941. Later in 1941, she married George Edward Gordon and had two sons, George (Andy) and John. Read More	Martha Winifred Love was born on November 29, 1922 in Grand Junction, Colorado to George W. Stell and Martha W. (Ames) Stell. She grew up in Denver, Pueblo, Grand Junction, Gateway and the Sinbad Valley with her two sisters, Mildred Hubbard and Dorothy Maccagnan and brother, Miles Devine. She graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1939 and Mesa College in 1941. Later in 1941, she married George Edward Gordon and had two sons, George (Andy) and John. Her husband, George died in 1964 and she later married Deryl Medwin Love in 1969 gaining three additional children, two daughters, Judy and Lynn and one son, Patrick. She currently resided in the Harbor Cove Retirement Homes located at 2835 1/2 Patterson Road in Grand Junction and passed on at Saint Mary's Hospital on December 23, 2008 of natural causes. She began her long and illustrious career as an educator in Montrose, Colorado and later on Glade Park where she was a homemaker on a ranch she and George owned. After selling the ranch, they moved to Norwood, Colorado and purchased a grocery store, French Market. After George's death, she continued to operate the store until she sold it in 1967. She moved to Grand Junction where she worked for the Mesa Feed Company. She and Deryl resided in Grand Junction until his death in 1998. She is survived by her two sisters, Mildred and Dorothy along with her two sons and three stepchildren, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included her family, traveling and gardening. A memorial service will be conducted at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary on December 30, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. The family has requested that no flowers be sent and any donations be made to the Habitat for Humanity in care of the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
