Description	:	Funeral for Mart Blair Conducted Here Aug. 30 Funeral services for Mart C. Blair, nearly 85, were conducted Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 30 at Hengstler's Chapel with the Rev. Theo Krumrey, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Osborne, Charles and Vern Bartling, Jim, Ray and Eddie Blair. Mr. Blair, who came to Creighton about the turn of the century, lived here all of his life until a few years ago when he became a resident of Rest Manor in Brunswick. Pallbearers were Osborne, Charles and Vern Bartling, Jim, Ray and Eddie Blair. Mr. Blair, who came to Creighton about the turn of the century, lived here all of his life until a few years ago when he became a resident of Rest Manor in Brunswick. He died Aug. 27 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient about a month. Mr. Blair was born Oct. 15, 1882 in Denmark. He came to America in 1894 with his mother, six brothers and one sister to join his father, who had come here two years earlier. He was married to Florence Van Brockliln Feb. 26, 1906. One son, Homer, now of Sacramento, Calif., was born to them. Survivors include his son; one granddaughter and two great granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Bartling of Creighton and Mrs. Joanne Doane of Omaha and three brothers, Casper Blair and Pete Christensen of Creighton and Frank Christiansen of Pilger. ...The Creighton News 7 Sept 1967
