Description	:	Married 12 Apr 1897 at Council Bluffs, Iowa Martin Hinkel, Sr., 60, of Moorhead, Ia., died Wednesday in a local hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Ebersgaens, Prussia, and came to the United States with his parents in 1881. They located in Council Bluffs in 1883. Mr. Hinkel became a fireman for the North Western railroad. He lived for a time in Nuckolls county, Neb., then returned to Council Bluffs and later engaged in farming near Pisgah and Moorhead. He was born in Ebersgaens, Prussia, and came to the United States with his parents in 1881. They located in Council Bluffs in 1883. Mr. Hinkel became a fireman for the North Western railroad. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Louise Hinkel; four brothers, Charles and John Hinkel of Council Bluffs, Fred Hinkel of Logan, Ia., and Louis Voss of Omaha; a sister, Mrs. Maggie Harrington of Council Bluffs; his mother, Mrs. Louise Voss of Logan; and eleven sons, Harry, Martin, Donald, Fred, Herman and William Hinkel of Moorhead, George and John Hinkel of Orson, Ia., and Lewis, Charles, and Arthur Hinkel of Pisgah. The body was removed from the Woodring chapel to the residence, where it will lie in state until the hour of the funeral on Sunday. Burial will be at Magnolia.
