(AP) A light plane struck a high-tension power line near here yesterday and "just flew to pieces" killing the pilot and a passenger, both members of the Chelan County Sheriff's posse. Sam Violett, Wenatchee, the pilot, and Martin Braun, East Wenatchee, were conducting a simulated aerial search when their 150 horsepower Piper Supercub hit a 330,000-volt power line over the Entiat River causing a display a witness said "looked like 50 arc-welders."
