Mr Petersen died Feb 2 at Anamosa Community hospital. He was born May 11, 1893 at Oxford Junction, son of Ludwig and Pauline Hansen Petersen. He married Christine Lorenzen Feb 16. 1921 at Wyoming. The couple farmed for 50 years in the Wyoming area. He spent his entire life in the Wyoming-Oxford Junction area except for time spent in the military service during WWI. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church and a 50-year member of Wyoming Legion Post 259. He was also a director of the Wheatland Mutual Insurance company 43 years. Survivors include his wife, three sons, Louis of Cedar Rapids and Melvin and Dale, both of Wyoming, seven grandchildren, two Great grandchildren, and one sister, Manda Lorenzen of Oxford Junction. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one grandson. Pallbearers were Robert Larkey. Lloyd and Kenneth Lorenzen. Neil, Brian, Lynn, Gary and Ricky Petersen. There was a flag presentation by the Wyoming American Legion Post.
