Description	:	MARTIN FRANK ROLL "Marty" was born May 16, 1944 on the family homestead 8 ½ miles north of Burt, ND. He was the youngest of fourteen children born to Michael and Rosa (Reichert) Roll. Marty attended St. Vincent's Catholic School in Mott. He worked on the construction of several grain elevators in the area. Marty was united in marriage to Betty Friedt on July 22, 1964 at Mott, ND. Read More	MARTIN FRANK ROLL "Marty" was born May 16, 1944 on the family homestead 8 ½ miles north of Burt, ND. He was the youngest of fourteen children born to Michael and Rosa (Reichert) Roll. Marty attended St. Vincent's Catholic School in Mott. He worked on the construction of several grain elevators in the area. Marty was united in marriage to Betty Friedt on July 22, 1964 at Mott, ND. They went to Billings, MT where Marty worked constructing steel buildings. In 1967, they moved back to the farm north of Burt and purchased it in 1970. Marty and Betty farmed and ranched together until the time of his death. He served on the Mott Rural Fire District and the Walker Township Board for many years. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus. He loved spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephews. Marty passed away on Tuesday evening, March 28, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dickinson as a result of injuries in a farm accident. Surviving family members include his wife, Betty, Mott; 4 brothers and 3 sisters-in-law, John Roll and friend Rose Drumm, Bullhead City, AZ; Jerome Roll, Mott, ND; William and Winnifred Roll, El Dorado Springs, MO; Sebastian and Norita Roll, Mott, ND; Marie Roll, Dickinson, ND; 7 sisters and 3 brothers-in-law, Eva and Innozent Zentner, Mott, ND; Ann Kuntz, Billings, MT; Barbara and Cornelius Kautzman, Ballentine, MT; Viola Dauenhauer, Billings, MT; Delores Lee and friend Duane Cregger, Hettinger, ND; Gladys Humeston and friend Willie Trieb, El Dorado Springs, MO; Sally and Marlin Schneider, Bismarck, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Paul Roll, and 1 sister, Selma Roll.
