LaFollette police department spokesman said the incident occured around 8 a.m. when Mr. Trowbridge died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound with a .22 rifle. LaFollette police department spokesman said the incident occured around 8 a.m. when Mr. Trowbridge died of a self-inflicted gun shot wound with a .22 rifle. He is survived by his wife Ruby and two children, son Marty and daughter Tammy Lynn, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. George Trowbridge, all of LaFollette. He was a member of West LaFollette Baptist Church & employee of the City of LaFollette for the past 10 years, and self employed at Trowbridge Greenhouse for 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ruby Mae Trowbridge; son Marty and daughter Tammy Lynn Trowbridge; parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Trowbridge, all of LaFollette; brother David Trowbridge of Clinton; two sisters, Mrs. Louise McFarland and Mrs. Faye Gross, both of Florida. Funeral services will be today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at West LaFollette Baptist Church, the Revs. Carl Young and Clay Starr officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour at the church before services. Martin Funeral Home of LaFollette was in charge of arrangements.
