Description	:	The son of George Lewison, a pioneer of Hardin County, Iowa, Martin married Edith Mossman on December 8, 1899 in the city of Eldora in that county. Shortly after, he leased the farm he'd grown up on and set about raising a family with his bride. But fate had other plans and, after providing Martin with two baby girls, it also brought him the unwelcome gift of a health problem. He had left on a trip to Colorado for health reasons on July 9th.
