Bisnette, 73, Abilene, died Friday, Jan. 23, 1998, at Abilene Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bisnette was born June 16, 1924, at Concordia, and was a resident of Abilene since 1994, moving from Manhattan. He was a World War II Navy veteran and was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 31 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Communication Workers of America and Telephone Pioneers of America. Survivors include his wife, Norma of Abilene; a daughter, Marcia St. Louis of Topeka; four sons, Mark of Abilene, Kenton of Wamego, David of Washington and Bryan of Clay Center; three sisters, Blanche Roberts, Alice Edwards and Edna Hamel, all of Concordia; and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, the Rev. Steve Heina officiating. Burial will be in St. Concordia Cemetery, with military graveside service by VFW Post 588. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. The casket will remain closed.
