The state industrial Insurance is struggling with the rather unique problem of whether when hard work causes the death of a workman, his family is to be allowed the benefit of the regular compensation given in such cases. Martin Spillman, a laborer in a mill in Tumwater, worked so hard that he strained the muscles of his heart, and dropped dead in the mill. Spillman had been out of work for some time and had a large family depending upon him. His widow applied to the insurance commission for relief and the matter has been taken under advisement.
