Rev. Amos Jarman officiated with burial following at Hillview cemetery in Alexandria. Mr Scott died August 19, at his home in Alexandria. He was the son of the late Lincoln Levi Scott. Amos Jarman officiated with burial following at Hillview cemetery in Alexandria. Mr Scott died August 19, at his home in Alexandria. He was the son of the late Lincoln Levi Scott. He became a member of the TEnnessee School Boards Associatio's Quarter Centry Club in March at the First General Session of the 1982 TSBA Annual COnvention in Nashville. Membership is open to persons who have served 25 years or more on a local School board. Mr Scott began serving on the DeKalb County Board of Education in 1956. He served two years as chairman and one year as vice chairman. He was re-elected for another term in the August 5 election. He was a real estate broker, auctioneer and was a former owner of the DeKalb County Fair. He was also a Used Car Salesman for many years. Surviving are his wife, Wilette Hays Scott, one daughter. Marlene Scott Prichard, of Alexandria; two brothers, Melvin E. Scott and Morris Scott of McMinnville, his mother, Mrs. Ruby Martin Dowdy of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Beth and Scott Prichard of Alexandria. Honorary pallbearers were members of the DeKalb County Board of Education. Serving as active pallbearers were, Doyle Hendrix, Frank BUck, Edsel Bailiff, Jewell Bailiff, Brown Haley, and Eddie Evans.
