Martin enlisted in the Confederate Army on Feb. 28, 1864 in Alamance Co. NC Company E , 13th Infantry. Admitted to Hospital in Farmville, Va. April 21, 1864. Transferred to Winder Hospital Richmond , Va. In May 1864. Detailed to serve as Hospital Guard by General Lee. Read less
