Raised in Sigourney, Marty graduated from Drake University, with a degree in education. Moving to Iowa City in 1949, she worked at the Iowa City Press Citizen for 30 years as a classified advertising accounting supervisor, retiring in 1981. __She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altar & Rosary Society, Altrusa (of which she was a past president) and Royal Neighbors of America. __Survivors include her brother, Earl Meyer of Iowa City; and many cousins. __Marty was preceded in death by her parents. __Online condolences may be directed to www.lensingfuneral.com
