Arrangements by Creps-Abels Funeral Home, Eldora, Iowa. Marty was born on November 14, 1950, in Eldora, Iowa, the son of Everett L. and Janet Young Lawler. Following graduation from New Providence, Iowa, High School in 1969, he attended Muscatine Community College for one year. He married Janine Brindle on June 7, 1980, at the Honey Creek Friends Church in New Providence. A lifelong resident of Hardin County, he farmed the family farm new New Providence with his brother Rex. He was a member of the New Providence Fire Department for 20 years and also served on the Union Fire Department. He was a former member of the Eldora Jaycees and served for six years in the National Guard in Iowa Falls. Surviving are his wife Janine of Union; three sons, Zachary, Thaddeus "T.J.", and James, all at home; one daughter, Hannah, also at home; his mother, Janet Lawler of New Providence; three brothers, Junior of Eldora, Dean of Baltimore, Maryland, and Rex of New Providence; and one sister, Leatrice Virtel of St. Louis, Missouri.
