Description	:	Marvin "Buck" Gregory, 76, husband of Helen Sinclair Gregory, of 436 Pineneedle Road, Union, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005 at 4:07 p.m. in Wallace Thomson Hospital after an extended battle with cancer. Mr. Gregory was born in Union County on June 11, 1929, a son of the late Robert Russell and Maudie Jett Gregory and step-son of the late Ruth Sanders Honeycutt. Mr. Gregory was born in Union County on June 11, 1929, a son of the late Robert Russell and Maudie Jett Gregory and step-son of the late Ruth Sanders Honeycutt. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Cone Mills, Carlisle Finishing Plant. Mr. Gregory was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Sandra Nance and husband Travis of Buffalo and Sherry Fisher and husband Clint of Union/Cross; four sons, Danny Gregory and wife Sherry of Jonesville, Steve Gregory and wife Vicki, Gene Gregory and wife Toni and Gerald Gregory and wife Darlene, all of Union; a sister, Shirley G. Teague and husband Curt of Union; ten grandchildren, Tara Bright and husband Jeffrey, Nicki Ivey and husband Jim, all of Jonesville; Darlene Howell and husband Ronnie of Buffalo; Brook Henderson and husband Kevin, Tiffany Bobo and husband Chris, Matthew Gregory, Jacob Gregory, Gerald Gregory, Megan Gregory, all of Union, and Dustin Quinn of Buffalo; eight great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and two step= great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Gregory was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Lucille Robinson, Sara Eaves, W.D. Gregory and James Gregory. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the S.R. Holcombe Funereal Chapel conducted by the Rev. Johnny Burgess and the Rev. Scott Cobb. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Matthew Gregory, Gerald Gregory Jr., Ronnie Lipsey, Kenny Lewis, Kevin Henderson an David Eaves. The following are asked to assemble at the funeral chapel Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. to sit in a group: Dot Smith and other care-givers of Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, employees of Carlisle Finishing Screen Print Dept., and Becky Moss, Joe and Nancy Blalock and Jim Workman. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Tuesday night from 7 until 9, The family is at the home of his daughter, Sandra and Travis Nance, 3284 Mt. Lebanon Road, Buffalo. Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, 308 Linersville Road, Buffalo, S.C. 29321 or to Union County Cancer Services c/o Ola Jean Kelly, 117 Fant Lane, Union, S.C. 29379.
