Description	:	Marvin Harold Lauridsen, the son of Harold and Christena (Lauridsen) Lauridsen, was born June 15, 1923, at his parents' home in Greeley Township, Audubon County, northeast of Exira, Iowa and died July 22, 2009, at his home in Exira, Iowa at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 7 days. Marvin was baptized and confirmed at the Exira Lutheran Church in Exira. He attended rural school Greeley No. 9 in Audubon County, IA. Read More	Marvin Harold Lauridsen, the son of Harold and Christena (Lauridsen) Lauridsen, was born June 15, 1923, at his parents' home in Greeley Township, Audubon County, northeast of Exira, Iowa and died July 22, 2009, at his home in Exira, Iowa at the age of 86 years, 1 month, and 7 days. Marvin was baptized and confirmed at the Exira Lutheran Church in Exira. He attended rural school Greeley No. 9 in Audubon County, IA. He then helped operate the family farm and helped care for his mother. On February 2, 1969, he was united in marriage to Ardith Keasey Madsen at the Exira Lutheran Church. Marvin continued to operate the family farm which he had purchased. He retired from farming, sold the farm in the late 1980's to Gary Rasmussen, then moved into Exira. For several years he continued to help the Rasmussens farm. Ardith moved to the Exira Care Center in August of 2006. She later died October 28, 2008. Marvin continued to reside in their home. Marvin was a member of the Exira Lutheran Church. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing cards, especially Pinochle, Pitch, and tormenting Ardith with Hearts. Preceding him in death in addition to his wife were his son-in-law Craig Flathers; his parents; his brother Emmert and wife Florence Lauridsen; his brothers-law and sisters-in-law: Albert Moller; Floyd Schwab; Roger Fusselman; Danny and wife Jackie Keasey; Daryle Keasey; Arvala Keasey; Dorothy Keasey; Mary Lou Greving; Robert E. Madsen; and May and husband Alton Olsen. Survivors include his children: LeRoy Edwin and Diane Madsen of Atlantic, IA and Linda Ellen Flathers of Oakfield, IA; his grandchildren: Krista Madsen and special friend Dan Schrader of Indianola, IA and her children Bryce Dishman and Michaela Madsen; Edwin and Holly Madsen of Exira and their children: Kennedy Madsen, Cole Madsen, and Alexis Madsen; Jason and Kristi Madsen and their children: Allison Madsen, and Wyatt Madsen; Tisha and Rob Jessen of Exira and their son Levi Jessen; Joleah Shaw of Iowa City, Iowa and her children: Zion Shaw and Ysidra Shaw; C.
