Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Ehlers-Gerken American Legion Post 694 provided a military honor guard. The Rev. Mervin Hood officiated the services. Lector for the Mass was Shelley Kammin. Gift bearers were Bernice Naber and Mary Ann Naberhaus. Casket bearers were Gerald M. Wittrock, Gerald Berg, Al Dentlinger, Louis Hausman, Bob Wolterman, and Leon Andersen. Twit Funeral Home in Carroll was in charge of arrangements. Born April 27, 1913, in Milford, Mr. Naber was a son of Valentine and Philomena (Schroeder) Naber. He attended school in Templeton. From 1941 to 1943 he served as a private in the Army in the European - African - Middle Eastern Theatres. He also served in Northen Ireland. On Aug. 23, 1952 he was married to Mary Ciccarelli at Johnston, R.I. He worked for Schroeder Construction throughout his career. Mr. Naber was a member of Holy Spirit Church and a charter member of the Ehlers-Gerken American Legion Post of Arcadia. Mr. Naber is survived by one daughter, Marlene (Mrs. Neil) Mueggenberg of Carroll; three grandchildren; one brother, Ben Naber of Carroll; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Naberhaus of Carroll and Mrs. Catherine Snyder of Carroll. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary, in 1973; two brothers, Myron and Jerry; and his son, Joseph.
