He died on November 21, 2009 at his home at Crown Colony in Lamoni, Iowa at the age of 91 years 10 months and 16 days. 'On October 24, 1939 he married Freda Mae Johnston at Bethany, Missouri. Read More	The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa 02 Dec 2009 Marvin Lee Leeper, the son of William Wesley and Liccie (Tedrow) Leeper, was born in Athens Township of Ringgold County, Iowa on January 5, 1918. He died on November 21, 2009 at his home at Crown Colony in Lamoni, Iowa at the age of 91 years 10 months and 16 days. 'On October 24, 1939 he married Freda Mae Johnston at Bethany, Missouri. To this union, three daughters,Odetta, Carolyn, and Peggy, were born. Marvin worked at the Lamoni Pack for 20 years then farmed north of Lamoni until retirement when he and Freda moved into Lamoni in 1964. After Freda's death in 1990, Marvin continued to keep himself busy by meeting friends for coffee and visiting. He drove until age 90. 'Preceeding him in death were his parents; wife Freda; brothers, Cloyd and Russell Leeper; and sisters, Lena Hacker and Cleora Tilford. Survivors include his daughters, Odetta Fugit and husband Dale of Lamoni, Carolyn Winkler of Kansas City, Kansas and Peggy Holmes and husband Joe of Blue Rapids, Kansas; six grandchildren, Randy, Steve and Bob Winkler, Dennis Fugit, Lisa Hays, and Archie Holmes; seven great grandchildren, Billy and Bobby Winkler, Warren and Kristin Hays, Bryant and Zach Winkler; and Koty Holmes; great-great grandsons, Simon Winkler and Tyler Holmes; brothers and wives, Francis and May Leeper of Des Moines, Iowa and Harley and Marjorie Leeper of Marshalltown, Iowa; sister, Marie Johnston of Lamoni; and other relatives and friends.
