Description	:	WALTERBORO: Mr. Marvin Milton Sanders, husband of Laverne Redman Sanders, died Sunday morning at Summerville Medical Center. He was 78. Mr. Sanders was born in Walhalla September 23, 1933 a son of the late Marvin and Bonnie Lee Sanders. He was a graduate of Furman University and an Honor Graduate of the Ohio State School of Real Estate. Mr. Sanders was born in Walhalla September 23, 1933 a son of the late Marvin and Bonnie Lee Sanders. He was a graduate of Furman University and an Honor Graduate of the Ohio State School of Real Estate. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Sanders was the retired Vice -President of C and S National Bank in Charleston. He was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Walterboro where he was a member of the Will Goodwin Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Walterboro Elks Lodge and was a Mason in the Round O Masonic Lodge #270. In addition to his wife of fifty-six years, Mr. Sanders is survived by a son Al Sanders and his wife Ronda of Summerville, and by a daughter Debbie S. Strickland and her husband Carey of Cottageville. There are six grandchildren: Adam Sanders and his wife Kasey, Allison Sanders, Gina and Marla Strickland, Jennifer Hiott and her husband Clark, and Devon Sarvis and her husband Bobby. There are also six great-grandchildren. Mr. Sanders was preceded in death by two brothers, Lamar and Marcus Sanders. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in the Chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home with burial following in the Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to either Bethel United Methodist Church or to the Ackerman Cemetery Fund, c/o Danny Dandridge, 1875 Red Oak Road, Cottageville, SC 29435.
