Description	:	Marvin Morrow Newlin Mr. Marvin Morrow Newlin, 92, formerly of Thom Road, Mebane, died at Edgewood Place in Burlington, on Thursday, March 6, 2008. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Irene Andrews Newlin and the son of John Wilbur Newlin and Annie Elizabeth Morrow Newlin, both deceased. Mr. Newlin was a retired dairy farmer and a dedicated life-long farmer. He was a member of Saxapahaw United Methodist Church, where he was a former Sunday school teacher. A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Irene Andrews Newlin and the son of John Wilbur Newlin and Annie Elizabeth Morrow Newlin, both deceased. Mr. Newlin was a retired dairy farmer and a dedicated life-long farmer. He was a member of Saxapahaw United Methodist Church, where he was a former Sunday school teacher. He was a former board member of Alexander Wilson Elementary School. Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Margie N. Dickens and husband, Phillip M., of Dedham, Maine; four sons, Mr. Wilbur A. Newlin and Mr. Walter M. Newlin and wife, Joan, all of Mebane, Dr. M. Boyd Newlin and wife, Frankie, of Boone, and Mr. S. Ray Newlin and wife, Liz, of Fuquay-Varina; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services were conducted Sunday, March 9, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Saxapahaw United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Rickabaugh and the Rev. Dr. Jesse Bone officiating. Burial followed in Bethlehem Presbyterian Church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Saxapahaw United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 268, Saxapahaw, N.C. 27340 or to Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 3624 Saxapahaw Presbyterian Church Road, Mebane, N.C. 27302.
