Description	:	Marvin was born on May 6, 1915 at Herring, the son of William J. and Wilhelmina (Groen) Dreessen. He was baptized as an infant at Wheatland Presbyterian Church. He received his education at Jackson Township Country School. After completing his education he farmed until 1971. He then moved from the farm and was employed by the town of Wall Lake until his retirement. On May 10,1943 Marvin was united in marriage to Katherine Fix at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wall Lake. They were blessed with the birth of two children, Sharon and Lloyd. They had a happy 25 years of marriage until Katherine's death on June 13, 1968. He was baptized as an infant at Wheatland Presbyterian Church. He received his education at Jackson Township Country School. After completing his education he farmed until 1971. He then moved from the farm and was employed by the town of Wall Lake until his retirement. On May 10,1943 Marvin was united in marriage to Katherine Fix at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wall Lake. They were blessed with the birth of two children, Sharon and Lloyd. They had a happy 25 years of marriage until Katherine's death on June 13, 1968. On June 1, 1973 he was united in marriage to Leona Schluter at Zion Lutheran Church, Denison. Marvin was a loving and faithful husband and father and took great pride in his farming. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveled on many bus tours, flew to Hawaii, went to see live baseball games and watched the Cubs play on TV. He loved going to the stock car races at Alta and at the Denison Speedway. He especially enjoyed playing dominos with his famiiy- He was preceded in death by his loving wife Katherine, his parents, and brothers Alfred and Leonard. Marvin is survived by his daughter Sharon Graham and her husband Earl, Denison; son Lloyd Dreessen and his wife Norma, Storm Lake; grandchildren Kimberly Ahart and her husband Steve, Denison, Troyd Dreessen and expectant wife Becky of Carroll, Jayme Dreessen and his wife Alicia, Oskaloosa; great-grandchildren Nathan Thompson and Kristen Ahart both of Denison, and Anna Dreessen, Oskaloosa. He is also survived by his wife Leona of 29 years; her four children, Shirley Ehlers, Arcadia, Bonnie Wutzke and her husband Fred, Des Moines, Norman Schluter and his wife Rose Ann, Friend, Neb., and Mariene Cocks, Kansas City, Kans.; her grandchildren and great-grand children; his sisters Dorothy Hollander of Phoenix, Ariz., Norma Alter and her husband Ralph, and Donna Miller all ol Coffeeville, Kans.: two sisters in-law, Dorothy and Darlene Dreessen both of Wall Lake, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. -------------------------
