Anderson, 73, of Oskaloosa died Wednesday at Mahaska County Hospital there of complications of cancer surgery. Mr. Anderson was born near Deep River and had lived in the Oskaloosa area most of his life. He had worked for Skelgas and was a manager with McGregor Furniture in Oskaloosa and Waterloo before retiring. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa; Council Lodge A.F.&A.M., El Kahir Shrine; and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife Norma, brother Carl of Oskaloosa, and sister Marie McCurdy of Ottumwa. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Garland-Van Arkel-Longkamp Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa. Burial with military and Masonic rites will be at Forest Cemetery there. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
