Description	:	Marvin William Schulz was born on February 3, 1924, in the family home west of Garland to William August and Sophia (Tiemann) Schulz and passed away peacefully on June 6, 2019, in Seward at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 3 days. Marvin was baptized in 1924 and confirmed in 1938 at Zion Lutheran Church in Garland. Read More	Marvin William Schulz was born on February 3, 1924, in the family home west of Garland to William August and Sophia (Tiemann) Schulz and passed away peacefully on June 6, 2019, in Seward at the age of 95 years, 4 months and 3 days. Marvin was baptized in 1924 and confirmed in 1938 at Zion Lutheran Church in Garland. The family lived in several communities in Seward and York where Marvin attended Gresham, Beaver Crossing and Garland Parochial School. At 17 years of age, Marvin began working for the Briggs family for four years. On May 28, 1944, Marvin was united in marriage to Olinda Louise Warnsholz and to this union two children were born. He was drafted into the United States Army on September 12, 1945 and was honorably discharged on October 14, 1946. Marvin was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. Upon his return to Seward County, Marvin and Olinda began their farming operation west of Seward on Waverly Road. In 1975, the couple built a new home west and north of Staplehurst. In 1984 they retired and moved to Seward. Marvin was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Staplehurst, lifetime member of the Seward V.F.W. Post #4755 and the Utica American Legion Post #49. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Olinda (2017); sister, Alma Warnsholz; two brothers; Lester Schulz and Edwin Schulz. Marvin is survived by his children and spouses, Darold and Jan Schulz, Seward and Shirley and Dean Hackbart, Seward; four grandchildren and spouses, Greg and Anne Hackbart, Kerry and Roger Beckmann, Jeff and Becky Hackbart, Brian and Lyndsy Schulz; six great-grandchildren, Brooke and husband Spencer Thulin, Trenton Beckmann, Riley and Chloe Hackbart, Eden and Jack Schulz; three sisters, Bernice Lange, Leona Beckmann, Carol Czapla; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. To this obituary we add our thoughts, prayers and memories of life shared with Marvin.
