She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Brown) Boyington, and was a Newington resident for over 70 years. Watson, died Wednesday, (Dec. 24, 2003). She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late Charles and Cora (Brown) Boyington, and was a Newington resident for over 70 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Congregational, Newington, and the Traveleers. Marvis was a talented woman who enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting and crafting ceramics and jewelry. She and Harold loved to travel and did so into their 90's. Marvis was very grateful for the neighbors and friends who faithfully visited and called her. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she leaves her daughters, Gail W. Buchholz and her husband Robert of Newington, and Susan Mayer and her husband Ronald of Supply, NC; two granddaughters, Robin Quintas and her husband Charles of Jacksonville, FL, and Tiffany Hajdasz and her husband Stephen of Amston; her three great-grandchildren, Gloriana, Gareth, and Savanna; and her very special friends, Betty and Merrill Nichols of Newington, and Albert and Lorraine Rosevear of Wethersfield. Her family expresses its sincere thanks to the staff of Brittany Farms Health Center for their loving care and kindness. Private funeral services will be held at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth C. Brookes officiating. Interment will be in Center Cemetery, Newington. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the Church of Christ Congregational, 1075 Main St., Newington, CT 06111.
