She was married to Levi Baxter in 1861 and to this union were born four children - Samuel Darius Baxter(deceased), Elizabeth Caroline Hardacre of Swayzee, Marshall Baxter of San Pierre, Indiana, and Henry Walter Baxter(deceased).Mrs. Baxter spent the early part of her married life in Marion county, later moving back to Grant county. She was married to Levi Baxter in 1861 and to this union were born four children - Samuel Darius Baxter(deceased), Elizabeth Caroline Hardacre of Swayzee, Marshall Baxter of San Pierre, Indiana, and Henry Walter Baxter(deceased).Mrs. Baxter spent the early part of her married life in Marion county, later moving back to Grant county. Here her husband died on August 16, 1908. She was the daughter of Joshua and Catherine Buroker. She was one of a family of fourteen children, who, one by one, have gone on before. Only three brothers remain - Dr. J. P. Buroker, Joseph Buroker of Sweetser and Lewis Buroker near Swayzee. She leaves to mourn her loss not only her two remaining children and brothers but also 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. At the time of her death, she was a member of Harmony Rebekah Lodge of Swayzee. The funeral was held at the Church of Christ Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. R. C. Dillman. Interment will be in the Swayzee I.O.O.F cemetery. The Swayzee Press (Swazyee, IN) - February 2, 1923
