Read More	Mary A (Gibbons) Prince Mitten Third wife of Robert P. Mitten - married 8 February 1877 in Wabash County, Indiana. Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - August 25, 1931 The death of Mrs. Robert P. Mitten, highly respected resident of this city for a long number of years, occurred at six o'clock last evening at the home of Mrs. Grace Fisher on Stitt street. On September 10, Mrs. Mitten fell and broke her leg and her gradual failing in health dates since that time. She was removed to the Wabash county hospital at that time where she remained until November when she was taken to the home of Mrs. Grace Fisher, a nurse, to reside. In May her condition grew serious and during the past two weeks her death was expected at any time. Mrs. Mitten was one of Wabash's oldest and best known residents, having lived here practically all of her life. She was born in the east more than eighty years ago and came to Wabash when a child with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gibbons. Her marriage to William Prince occurred a number of years ago, with his death occurring twelve years after their marrige. Several years later on February 8, 1877 she was united in marriage to Robert T. Mitten in Wabash. No children were born to either union. The death of Mr. Mitten occurred in 1916. She is survived by five step-children, O.L. Mitten of Wray, Colorado; Mrs. Dora Skinner of Twelve Mile, Indiana; Mark Mitten, of this city; Charles Mitten Merrick of Beulah, Idaho, and Mrs. Minnie Cuddebach of Hudson, Wisconsin. She is also survived by one brother, Jack Gibbons of Alma, Michigan. The death of another brother occurred a number of years ago. Mrs. Mitten was a woman who took an active part in various community projects, and was a member of a number of clubs and organizations here. Until her recent break in health she was affiliated with the Ideal Embrodery club, The Needle Coterie, the Rebecca lodge and the Woman's Relief Corps. As a member of the Presbyterian church, Mrs. Mitten was associated with a number of the church's organizations and felt an interest in the affairs of the church. Her body has been removed to the Hoover Funeral Home where it will remain until the funeral which is to be held there Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Robert Little will have charge of the services. Burial will be made in Falls cemetery.
