Description	:	Mary A. Schintgen was born June 15, 1910 to Peter and Mary Ann (Theis) Schintgen in rural Minnehaha County, SD. She attended school at St. Mary’s School in Larchwood, IA where she graduated in 1928. She was united in marriage with Melvin Nason in 1942 in Sioux Falls. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls where Mary devoted her time to being a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a very devout member of St. Therese Parish and the women’s circle. Schintgen was born June 15, 1910 to Peter and Mary Ann (Theis) Schintgen in rural Minnehaha County, SD. She attended school at St. Mary’s School in Larchwood, IA where she graduated in 1928. She was united in marriage with Melvin Nason in 1942 in Sioux Falls. The couple made their home in Sioux Falls where Mary devoted her time to being a wife, mother and homemaker. She was a very devout member of St. Therese Parish and the women’s circle. She was more recently a member of St. Michael Parish. Her husband, Melvin, preceded her in death in 1989. Mary loved flowers. Her back yard was always a beautiful display of the many flowers she enjoyed raising. She was also an excellent cook, and worked very hard at canning and freezing various foods. Mary was also very talented with knitting and crocheting. Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter, Janice Nason, of Sioux Falls; and a sister, Lucille Jacobsen living in Indiana. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, John Schintgen and Leonard Schintgen; her sisters, Margaret Gross, Alice Headley, and Rose McKnight. She was also preceded in death by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family of Mary Nason thanks you for your support and presence today. An invitation is extended to join them at the church for refreshments and fellowship following the committal service. Visitation begins at 8:00 Wednesday with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 507 S. Main.
