Description	:	Mary Adaline, daughter of Daniel and Sarah E Tucker, was born in Canaan township, Athens County, Ohio, October 5, 1861. Departed this life at Athens, Ohio, October 10th, 1916, aged 55 yr., 5 days. She was united in marriage to Henry Cone, Jan. 31, 18--. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Robinson of Ames township, Athens County, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, one sister Mrs. Joseph Love of Athens, one brother M.B. Tucker of Chauncey, Ohio, besides other relatives and a host of friends. For more than a year she had been in failing... Read More	Mary Adaline, daughter of Daniel and Sarah E Tucker, was born in Canaan township, Athens County, Ohio, October 5, 1861. Departed this life at Athens, Ohio, October 10th, 1916, aged 55 yr., 5 days. She was united in marriage to Henry Cone, Jan. 31, 18--. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Robinson of Ames township, Athens County, Ohio. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, one sister Mrs. Joseph Love of Athens, one brother M.B. Tucker of Chauncey, Ohio, besides other relatives and a host of friends. For more than a year she had been in failing health. At times her pain was intense, and she wondered why her sufferings should be so great. At last she was enabled to say in the spirit of true submission. "God knows what is best for me". She was anxious to live for the sake of her loved ones, but as she came near the end her prayer was, "Lord give me strength." As her loved ones watched over her with weeping eyes she said "Don't cry, but prepare to meet me in heaven." Even from childhood she was of a quiet and gentle disposition, and very much beloved by her friends. She was very affectionate in her home, being a faithful wife and loving mother. She will be greatly missed in her home and also by the community in which she lived. She had a beautiful Christain character and in her modest unassuming way was always an inspiration in every religious service which she attended. Yet our loss is her eternal gain. Funeral services were held at the chapel of the Church of God on Hocking Street at 10:00 am Oct. 12th. Sermon was preached by the pastor H. A. Sherwood. Interment was made in Union street cemetery.
