Description	:	DIED--Friday, April 14, of heart failure, at George Brosthers Store in Orchard, Mrs. James Groves of Verdigre township, at the age of fifty seven years, eleven months and twenty seven days. Mrs. Groves, in company with her husband, left home Friday morning to go to Orchard for trading and principally, to have her picture taken. Her errands all performed, she was sitting in the store, resting. Without any warning and almost without a struggle, she answered the call of the Reaper and her spirit passed away to its Maker. Mrs. Groves came here from Indiana with her husband about twenty five years ago.... Mrs. Groves came here from Indiana with her husband about twenty five years ago. She was greatly beloved by all who made her acquaintance. Her husband and two children, Philo Groves and Mrs. Harry Eyer, survive her. The funeral services were conducted Monday morning at the Groves. home by Rev. Allen of Royal. So large a number of people gathered to pay homage to the departed friend and neighbor, that it was possible for only a few to go into the house. Interment was made in the Pleasant Valley cemetery. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to the lonely husband and companion for it will be he, who was so closely associated with the beautiful life, who will feel the loss most keenly, although it is a community bereavement. ...The Creighton Liberal 5 May 1911
