Description	:	Mrs. Alice Peoples (nee Garnett) was born Oct. 16th, 1854; was married to Wm. Peoples May 4th, 1871, with whom she lived happily on their farm 3 1/2 miles southeast of Leonard, Mo., until the time of her sudden demise. Unto them only one child was born Noah W., who with his wife live only a few rods from his father's. Read More	Mrs. Alice Peoples (nee Garnett) was born Oct. 16th, 1854; was married to Wm. Unto them only one child was born Noah W., who with his wife live only a few rods from his father's. In her death the husband has lost a loving and devoted wife, the son a precious and idolized mother, the church a noble, faithful, christian worker--always ready to give of her means and her labor abundantly for the cause and upbuilding of the church she so dearly loved. And her loss to the community can scarcely be estimated--ever at the bedside of the sick and suffering ministering with gentle touch and kind words. Never a call for help in the time of distress or need but Aunt Alice responded and with her every ready act of knowing what and how to do, we all instinctively turned to her for advice and encouragement, and her cheerful, jovial disposition had an ennobling influence on all with whom she came in contact. In short to know her was to love her. What then must be the desolation and grief in that home of which she was the sunshine and blessing? Ah, sad indeed those lacerated and bleeding hearts. But they sorrow not as those without hope, knowing that she now wears the crown of righteousness laid up for her, and when their work on earth is ended she'll be waiting at the beautiful gates to welcome them home to God.
