Description	:	Mary Alice Niebur was born at Raymond, Nebraska, September 23, 1904, the daughter of Axel and Mary Johnson, nee Lindholm. Her days of childhood and youth were spent on a Seward county farm with her parents and brothers. Following her graduation from the Malcolm high school she attended the Teacher's College in Lincoln, after which she taught in Seward county schools for two years. On February 24, 1927, she was united in holy wedlock to Alvin Niebur. Read More	Mary Alice Niebur was born at Raymond, Nebraska, September 23, 1904, the daughter of Axel and Mary Johnson, nee Lindholm. Her days of childhood and youth were spent on a Seward county farm with her parents and brothers. Following her graduation from the Malcolm high school she attended the Teacher's College in Lincoln, after which she taught in Seward county schools for two years. On February 24, 1927, she was united in holy wedlock to Alvin Niebur. On April 5, 1931 she was baptized and at the same time received into the membership of the Friedens Evangelical and Reformed Church of Seward through the rite of confirmation, and remained a member until the time of her death. She was an active member of the Gleaners and a member of the Women's Guild of the church and also a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the V.F.W. She had been in failing health the last two years and in April of this year submitted to an operation in Lincoln which brought only temporary relief. She entered the Seward Hospital on November 6 and was summoned from this vail of tears and pain and sorrow on Nov. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at the age of 44 years and 2 months. She leaves to mourn her death her husband Alvin, her mother Mary Johnson of Garland; four brothers, Carl of Seward, Richard, Elmer and Dale of Garland; four sisters-in-law, Emma, Nola, Helen, and Olga Johnson; her mother-in-law, Mrs. Anna Niebur, one brother-in-law, Louis Niebur and Mrs. Niebur, also Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Balderson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hans and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were conducted by Rev. M. L. Seybold at 2 p.m. Nov. 26 at Friedens Church. Interment was made at the Greenwood cemetery. Blue Valley Blade, Seward, NE, Thurs, December 2, 1948
