She was married November 29, 1893, to James P Brown. He died April 11, 1902. She was a member of the Drakesville Methodist church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. H. Glen Hill of Indianola, one sister, Mrs. Nell Michael of Des Moines, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The body is at the Wagler funeral home in Bloomfield, where arrangements are pending. *** Unknown newspaper & date Brown Services at 2:00 Wednesday Mrs. Mary A. (Mayme) Brown, 84, of Ottumwa, died at the St. Joseph hospital in that city Monday. Mrs. Brown, a former Drakesville resident, had been hospitalized since breaking a hip in a fall February 19. The daughter of Eli and Harriett Truitt, she was born October 16, 1870, at Drakesville. She was married November 29, 1893, to James P Brown. He died April 11, 1902. She was a member of the Drakesville Methodist church. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. H. Glen Hill of Indianola, one sister, Mrs. Nell Michael of Des Moines, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held at the Wagler Funeral Homes Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. B. Roy Brown of the Willard Street Methodist church in Ottumwa. Burial was in the Drakesville Cemetery.
