She was an only child of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wetherall. She was married to Martin J. Moyer Nov. 22nd, 1882, at Effingham, Kansas. The following year they came to the present home, where Mr. Moyer passed away Dec. 24th, 1903. To this Union were born eleven children, two dying in infancy, Baby Moyer and Opal, those living are: Mrs. Grace Salisbury, Mrs. Fern Miller, Eugene, George, Clyde, Delbert, who gave his life in the World's War in the battle at Argonne, Mrs. Ruby Timberlake, Mrs. Florence Kemplay, and Paul Moyer. There are 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Moyer's life was a shining example for her own family and for all who came in contact with her wonderful personality. She was never too busy with her own affairs to stop and minister to her friends and neighbors when sickness, sorrow and death entered their home. Always with a cheery smile and a word of encouragement. She had the trait of always seeing the good in people and overlooking their faults and weakness. Her children will ever cherish the sweet memory of a devoted Christian mother. She will be sadly missed by her loved ones and a host of friends. The funeral service was held at the Moyer home southeast of Centralia last Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock conducted by Rev. C.L. Harder. The pallbearers were Wm. Martsolf, George Shaffer, Sam Ayers, Ed Allen, Byron Allen, Arthur Nightingale. A quartet, Misses Lola Brown, Eileen McGhee, Earl Hightower and L.D. Richardson sang "abide With Me," "Garden of Prayer" and "Nearer, Still Nearer." Burial was in the Roots cemetery 4 miles east and 1/2 mile north of Centralia.
