Description	:	Harrisonburg Daily News Record June 6, 1961 Mrs. Mary Amis (Mayme) Butler, 71, widow of Harry Lee Butler, and a well known and lifelong resident of Harrisonburg, who made her home at 110 Newman Avenue, died at 11:35 p. m. Monday at the Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Butler had not enjoyed good health for seven years and became seriously ill last Wednesday. A daughter of the late Joseph V. and Lillian Wilson Kavonaugh. She was born on July 15, 1889 in Harisonburg where she spent her entire life. In former years Mrs. Butler was employed at the Kavanaugh Hotel where she had charge of the dining room and kitchen. She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She married Mr. Butler in 1911 and he preceded her in death in 1933. Mrs. Butler is survived by three children, Joseph O'Neil Butler, of McGaheysville; Miss Nancy L. Butler, and Harry Ross (Bill) Butler, both of Harrisonburg; one grandson; one brother, Harry Kavanaugh, of Harrisonburg; and three sisters, Mrs. J.S. Snell, of Indian Head, Md.; Mrs. Frank Hayden and Mrs. Harry Myers, both of Harrisonburg. The body is at the Lindsey Funeral Home pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
