Description	:	Mary Anderson Blair, oldest child of Robert and Margaret Anderson , was born near Grinnell on June 23 , 1875, and passed away on July 13, 1964, at the age of 89 years, 20 days. She moved with her parents in March 1887 to a farm near Newell, where she spent her young womanhood. Prior to her marriage to Joel C. Read More	Mary Anderson Blair, oldest child of Robert and Margaret Anderson , was born near Grinnell on June 23 , 1875, and passed away on July 13, 1964, at the age of 89 years, 20 days. She moved with her parents in March 1887 to a farm near Newell, where she spent her young womanhood. Prior to her marriage to Joel C. Blair in September, 1902, she worked as a seamstress for several years. During their early married life they lived in Newell, moving to Early in 1906, and to Storm Lake in 1919. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Lakeside Presbyterian church. As long as she was able, she was active in the work of her church. Following the death of her husband in 1932, she made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Nicholas. The past four years she was a resident of Methodist Manor. She remained in fairly good health, being confined to her bed only four days before her passing. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Rosa Campton, and one brother, Gordon Anderson, both of Storm Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Karl Nicholas (Bernice) of Storm Lake, and a daughter, Mrs. Harris Enderson (Marjorie) of Joliet, Illinois, a step-daughter, Mrs. Alex Anderson (Eulalia) of Newell; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Buren Anderson of Storm Lake. Also surviving, are seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. There are also many nieces and nephews and her many friends. Services were conducted Wednesday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at the Hughes Nelson funeral hom with the Dr. Luther Powell officiating. Mrs. Howard Eloe was the soloist with Mrs. Sylvia Gunn at the organ.
