Description	:	Mary Ann Brownfield married Francis Marion "Frank" Standley on December 17, 1871 in Bates County, Missouri. They were married by John Wilson, minister of Christian Church. Mary Ann Brownfield Standley was buried April 27, 1925. Mrs. Mary A. Standley, 72 years of age, for 28 years a resident of her Kittitas Valley passed away at her home in Wilson Creek Canyon Friday evening following a heart attack. Her husband. F. M. Mary Ann Brownfield Standley was buried April 27, 1925. Mrs. Mary A. Standley, was with with her at the time. Mrs. Standley was born in Pettis County, Missouri, March 15, 1853, and spent her girlhood in that state. In 1871 she married Francis M. Standley in Bates County, Missouri and a few years later they moved to Texas, where they spent 15 years. From there they moved to Arkansas and then to Seattle. In 1891 they came to Ellensburg where they have since made their home. Mrs. Standley is survived by her husband, F. M. Standley, two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Vermish [Vermeersch] and Mrs. Pearl Lee Bariault of Toppenish and two sons R. F. and J. M. Standley, both of Ellensburg. A brother, D. A. Brownfield resides in California, and she also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Susan M. Weedin of Island County and Mrs. Robert A. Turner of Ellensburg, besides a number of grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Standley was buried Monday morning from the Steltz Chapel. Services were read by a Tacoma minister as the local Christian church of which she has been a member for 50 years, is without a pastor at this time. Ellensburg Capital, April 30, 1925 [Front Page]
