Gillaspy, at Leonard. Mrs. Gillaspy had been in failing health for something like a year and death came as a result of old age and heart trouble. Before her marriage, she was Mary Ann Davis and was born in Snowhill, Md. She came to Missouri when only a small child and has since resided in Shelby county. She is survived by five sons, J.L. and G.C. of Leonard, R.W. and J.P. of Shelbyville and Wm. N. of LaCrosse, Kans.; four daughters, Mrs. John Kyle of LaCrosse, Kans.; Mrs. R.S. Magruder of Clarence, and Mrs. Earl Harrison of Chugwater, Wyo. Funeral services were held at the Christian church at Leonard Thursday at 2:00 p.m., conducted by the Rev. L. Mo., Nov. 5.—Funeral services for Mrs. W. L. Gillaspy, who died Wednesday morning at the home of her son, G. C. Gillaspy, in Leonard, were held yesterday at 2 p. m. at the Christian church in Leonard, conducted by Rev. L. Hulser of Shelbina. Mrs. Gillaspy had been in failing health for tho past year, death resulting from old age and heart trouble. Mary Ann Davis, a daughter of James and Eliza Davis, was born in Snowhill [sic], Maryland, July 10, 1840. She came to Missouri with her parents when a child and bad since resided in Shelby county. On August 29, 1860 she was married to William L. Gillaspy who preceded her to the grave two years ago. Five sons and four daughters survive. Besides the son in whose home she died, there are, James L. Gillaspy of Leonard. R. W. and J. P. Gillaspy of Shelbyville. Wm. N. Gillaspy and Mrs. John Kyle of La Grosse, Kas., Mrs. R. S. Magruder of Clarence and Mrs. Karl Harrison of Chugwater, Wyoming. Mrs. Gillaspy was a member of the Christian church of Leonard and had long been prominent in its activities.
